Personally, I’m not a winter person and often suffer from the cold. So far, I have tried a wide variety of insoles in my barefoot shoes: Lambskin, cork, aluminum, microfleece, EVA, etc. The result was always cold feet. I came to the realization that I should stimulate my circulation more.
In my search for a suitable insole (not just for barefoot shoes), the following criteria were important to me:
1. the foot should be 100% activated
2. the insole should not have a spring or footbed
3. the material should be such that it does not cause unpleasant odors
4. the insoles should be easy to handle completely without expensive orthopaedic fabrication costs
5. the temperature in the shoe should be pleasantly warm in winter and heat-regulating in summer
6. the price must be right
You can buy Motusol flow gel insoles here and find out more.
And which shoes do I prefer to wear?
Here, too, I have established the following criteria:
1. good profile for snow and ice
2. Wide toe box
3. Soft upper materials, can be impregnated
4. no spring or footbed
